ONEIDA LAKE WATERSHED ZONE BUILDER DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM
Available in the Oneida Lake Watershed in Madison, Oneida, & Onondaga Counties
How it Works:
• Implement is available for 50 to 100 acres per farm at no charge • Provided on a first come-first serve basis
• Scheduling consideration given to distance needed to move implement
• Farmer supplies tractor, 240 HP required, Case-I.H. Magnum has been sufficient
• Farmer picks up implement from previous farm, implement has a pintle hitch, and the implement is 19 feet wide going down the road • Farmer signs agreement to not abuse implement and maintain implement as needed
• Madison County SWCD personnel inspect implement before and after use
• SWCD personnel will limit use of implement from very rocky soil in order to extend life of implement and maintain its availability
• Agronomic advice provided by Jeff Miller, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County
